Babu Chandigarhia, born in Village Piareana District Ferozpur (Punjab) educated from Bathinda District (Punjab). Inspired from his Grand Father Pt. Jagan Nath who is a writer and a freedom fighter, Babu started singing from school time and won competitions. With time this became a passion to excel in the singing field. Babu Chandigarhia is the modern incarnation of Punjabi folk music; his lyrics and voice are a perfect blend of Punjabi traditional attitude. Some societies like Malwa Sabhecharak Club, Bathinda honored him for his work done for Punjabi Culture. Punjabi Culture Society (Sydney,Autralia), Panj Dariya Sabhecharak Munch (Mohali) and some other cultural institutions also honored him. His Guru of Light Music and Classic Music are Baldev Kakri and Guru Moreji.
